By Elvira Rex

Everyone loves dinosaurs, but so many other groups of wonderfully weird (and often giant) animals used to roam the Earth too – they just never had as good a publicist. The planet has seen tons of bizarre-looking mammals, which were closer to us both in biology and in time.

What if they took a holiday from being extinct?

Take a trip around the globe with these outlandish “time tourists” as they visit the modern-day places each species once called home. Colour your way through space and time and help make their travels brilliant!

About the authors

Elvira Rex hails from the Canary Islands, has lived in several European countries and is now based in eclectic Hong Kong. She is a young biology researcher (focusing on genetics and the ocean), has experience working in science museums and a passion for science communication and education as well as art. Utterly fascinated by palaeontology from a young age, she wants to foster that love in kids for learning about animals that are long gone.

Her first book, Time Tourists, combines her love of palaeontology and travel to bring issues of biodiversity to young audiences in a new, fun way.
